Medical Fragments and Devices Left in Body Cause More Than 1000 Injuries Each Year

We have added a Library article about medical devices or pieces of medical devices or equipment left in your body after a surgery or medical procedure.  The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) says that over 1000 events occur each year in which devices are unintentionally left in patient after medical procedures.  Many of these cause serious injuries.
