There is a
new drug therapy that is showing some promise in treating patients with prostate cancer. This new drug therapy involves giving patients a continuous low dose of IL-2, an immune system booster. This type of continuous low dosing is called metronomic dosing. It appears to reduce the harmful patient side effects associated with the standard dosing regimens of IL-2, often associated with harmful side effects that can lead to interruptions in treatment.
