recent study by oncologists at the University of Texas
M.D. Anderson Cancer Center revealed of 2,838 women who had
breast cancer ranging from Stage I to Stage III and who had all been disease free at 5 years, only 89% remained disease free at 10 years. By 15 years only 80% remained disease free. The risk of recurrence varied by
stage and tumor type with Stage I having a 7% chance of recurrence; Stage II having 11% chance of recurrence and Stage III having 13% chance of recurrence. To learn more see our Library Article
