Failure to Diagnose Legg-Perthes Disease

We filed and settled a case against a pediatrician involving that doctor's failure to properly diagnose Legg-Perthes disease which our client, a child, was suffering from. Legg-Perthes disease causes a loss of blood supply to the hip joint, resulting in malformation of that joint, and ultimately prosthetic hip replacement. We argued that the doctor failed to order the appropriate tests to diagnose the disease.
