Our client went to the hospital where she was diagnosed with low sodium in her blood (hyponatremia). The hospital then proceeded to raise our client's sodium by administering saline containing large amounts of sodium. While this was being done, the hospital failed to monitor our client's sodium level. As a result, the sodium level went up too rapidly, causing brain damage known as central pontine myelinolysis. We filed a lawsuit against the hospital and they paid money to our client to compensate our client for her injuries.
These types of medical mistakes are known as medical malpractices. Our law firm specializes in medical malpractice cases. We work exclusively for people injured by medical malpractice. If you would like your case reviewed, at no cost, please contact us.
