Truck Driver Settles With Company Who Loaded Freight

A truck driver settled a negligence claim for $1.1 million against the company that improperly loaded his tractor-trailer.

The truck driver was injured in an accident when his tractor-trailer tipped over. His tractor-trailer tipped over because the load he was carrying had not been properly secured. The load had been placed on plastic skid mats on a new wooden floor. The freight slid to the left and the movement of the weight caused the tractor-trailer to tip onto its left side.

The company’s negligence was that it failed to load and secure the freight onto the truck using a proper method.
