Settlement in Case Where Baby Brain Damaged From Compression of the Umbilical Cord
We filed and settled a case against Uniontown Hospital and an obstetrician for failing to timely deliver a baby who during labor suffered over 45 minutes of oxygen deprivation due to compression of the umbilical cord. We argued that the delay in delivery caused the little girl to suffer cerebral palsy and irreversible brain damage. As a result of the settlement, the little girl will receive the 24-hour a day care that she requires for the rest of her life.
