Five Injured In Head-On Collision

Posted on Sep 28, 2009

Three adults and two children were injured in an accident in Washington County.  A pick-up truck and car collided on Route 40 in Claysville when the truck crossed the centerline and slammed into the car.

The children were taken to Children’s Hospital.  Two adults were flown by medical helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital and one was taken by ambulance to Washington Hospital.

According to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, the couple in the pick-up truck had just gotten engaged.  They were kissing when the accident occurred.

Charges have not been filed, however, the accident remains under investigation.
